Much of the country is moving further along in reopening despite the indefinite threat of the coronavirus pandemic.
Essential workers across food, health, transit and many other sectors have played integral roles in reopenings and maintaining everyday operations, working longer, stressful hours and putting themselves at risk of getting infected. To help honor those local heroes in the fight against COVID-19, photographer Kevin Fiscus recently put together an expansive portrait feature in the Sacramento Magazine.
Today we talk with Fiscus about it and how the project came together.
