McCarty Bill Aimed At Fighting Opioid Addiction

Democratic State Assemblymember Kevin McCarty of Sacramento wants to impose a one-cent per milligram surcharge on prescription opioids. The fee would pay for drug addiction prevention, treatment and rehabilitation programs.
